I attended the Kerry-Edwards rally in Raleigh today. It was held at the Court of North Carolina on the NC State campus. The people in attendance at the rally were enthusiastic. The theme song, "Johnny B. Goode." Elizabeth Edwards in her speech quoted Seamus Heaney: "once in a lifetime/ the longed for tidal wave/ of justice can rise up." The speeches by John Edwards and John Kerry were both good. It was an extremely hot day. Volunteers walked around spritzing us with water. An estimated 25,000 people were there.
